We are looking for dynamic, kid-loving, self-motivated culinary interns ready to roll up their sleeves and get cooking in the industry of kid’s culinary education.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Assisting and/or conducting kids cooking classes, parties, and playdates throughout Manhattan
- Creating grocery orders for cooking classes, parties and playdates
- Prepping ingredients for cooking activities
- Calling in and writing product reviews for foods and children’s cooking supplies
- Aid in administrative duties, including invoicing, organizing calendars and data upkeep
- Assist in research and development of new culinary endeavors
- Assistance with recipe development, testing and writing

The Culinary Intern supports the Education Director in organizing and preparing cooking related supplies and materials needed to successfully teach The Creative Kitchen‘s classes, Parties & Playdates and events.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Preparation of ingredients and supplies for The Creative Kitchen Classes, Parties & Playdates and Special Events.
- Cooking facility maintenance, including grocery and supply inventory and pantry maintenance.
- Responsible for food order tracking, grocery prep, labeling for class and special event distribution based on curriculum and directions.
- Ensure all teachers have appropriate groceries, supplies and teaching materials.
- Occasional local procurement of teaching related supplies and equipment.
- Additional tasks as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Cheerful disposition, reliable, self motivated, flexible, and energetic– likes children a big plus!
- Attention to detail/organizational
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to organize based on a culinary professionals perspective i.e. placement of tools, and other related culinary products
- Ability or willingness to learn cost effective grocery and supplies ordering practices.
- Basic knife skills

The Educational Coordinator supports the Educational Director in daily operation of The Creative Kitchen’s cooking classes, Parties & Playdates, and special events.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Coordinating teaching schedule, food ordering, transportation of supplies and communication with hosts and venues
- Maintaining teaching venue invoices and invoice summary spreadsheet as supply orders are received
- Invoicing, including teaching venues and birthday staff
- Assisting in the logistics of classes, parties, and special events execution including supply ordering and prep
- Maintaining Excel spreadsheets including: class registration lists, Parties & Playdates schedule of upcoming parties and assigned teachers Expense sheets, etc.
- Additional administrative tasks as assigned

The Creative Kitchen is looking to hire reliable, self motivated, flexible, and energetic cooking teachers to work with children in a creative and hands-on setting. Teach students ages 2.5 years and up in dynamic environment of fun food exploration.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Utilizing cooking curriculum to provide direct instruction to large and small groups of students at various NYC venues
- Creating appropriate learning environments including safe and sanitary cooking spaces during activities
- Supervising of children throughout cooking activities
- On-site communication with parents and venue personnel
- Maintaining a safe, supportive and welcoming classroom environment
In addition, The Creative Kitchen is seeking three specialized instructors:
1. Baker
- Knowledge of basic baking practices and performs oven duties
- Prepares a variety of bakery products in accordance with The Creative Kitchen recipes and high standards in order to produce a superior quality product that satisfies customer’s expectations
- Responsible for preparing baked goods in accordance with company standards on presentation, safety, sanitation, and service
2. Recipe Developer and Tester
- Familiar with kids’ tastes
- Culinary degree or equivalent
- Proven experience of recipe development
3. Curriculum Writer
- Responsible for developing new and revised training curriculum
- Background in early childhood, curriculum development and instructional design to ensure course learning activities are effective and lead to increasing respondent cooperation rates, response rates and passing quality audits. The Curriculum Writer must ensure the course is compliant with company and research standards and meets all quality assurance checks
- Develop project timelines and ensure curriculum development projects are completed on schedule
- Collaborate with Project Managers, and business partners on course development and revision
