GNT Exberry Colouring Foods: Product Shout Out! https://www.thecreativekitchen.com/gnt-exberry-colouring-foods-product-shout-out/ https://www.thecreativekitchen.com/gnt-exberry-colouring-foods-product-shout-out/#respond Thu, 01 Aug 2013 08:00:07 +0000 http://www.thecreativekitchen.com/?p=5377

The Creative Kitchen has been busy whipping up a batch of scrumptious vegetable cream cheese, with a fun special ingredient, all natural food coloring from our friends at GNT!  While we usually stray from food colorings as they contain additives and not some not so healthful ingredients, Exberry Colouring Food, a product of GNT foods, is dedicating themselves to creating natural coloring from foods, such as beets and carrots. While we used the coloring in cream cheese, they’re also a quick and easy way to add a fun factor to frostings, yogurt or even pancake batter!

With the motto “coloring food with food,” Exberry Colouring Food is unlike other harmful food colorings, instead they use a concentrate of edible foods and fruits. In fact, their food coloring contains antioxidants like anthocyanins and beta-carotene, which are good for your eyes and heart. They can even protect against cancer! Harvested while the fruits and vegetables are ripened, the final product is so natural it can be consumed by itself. Go ahead and try it! GNT is involved in every part of the process, from the choice of seed to the harvesting period. This ensures that the process can be traced at virtually step.

Throughout manufacturing, only traditional methods are used, meaning nothing beside water and other edible foods are incorporated. In addition, because GNT is conscious of food sensitivities and allergies, each color is labeled so you know what products were used to create it. GNT pays attention to detail, meaning, each color is individually tailored to the product you wish to add it to, whether it’s for baked goods or alcoholic beverages. Believing in consistency and quality, GNT is dedicated to ensuring that the product you receive is the best it can be.

Although their products are only available online, The Creative Kitchen recognizes GNT’s continual efforts to provide visibility at every stage of their processing. (They sell their products to food companies, who use their natural dyes in their products.  So even though we cannot buy it personally, we may be using their products everyday!)
